It’s day two at PCA 2013 live poker tournament and the prizepool is set at a cool $5.7 million with over $2 million going to the winner. Who will win the battle of the finest?
At the feature table, we have Tom Dwan, Antonio Esfandiari, ElkY, Dan Shak, Steve O’Dwyer, Vivek Rajkumar and JC Alvarado.
Just as the second day of competitions started heating up, Esfandiari is seen intimidating fellow table competitor, Dwan, who did not exchange words with the former but showed signs of tension to Esfandiari’s boasting.
There were a lot of early eliminations as well as high rollers like ElkY who was a favorite to be one of the top players to come in first. He had stepped away from the table when he realized in his head he had lost. Even though he had leftover chips. After much consideration, ElkY made his way back and finished the round.
It’s now down to three table and twenty-four players. Who will come up on top and take home the prize of $2 million?
Poker has always been a game closely related to gambling, but look at it in another light and it is no different from any other games that people enjoy. From the PCA tournament featuring many top players, you will realise that it is a game that takes loads of guts and wits to win, while constantly engaging in psychological battles with your opponents.
