Happy new year! Since it’s officially 2016, let’s talk about the Pantone colours of this year.
Firstly, what is a pantone colour? Pantone is a corporation that is known for its proprietary colour space (colour organization). It is used in a variety of industries that works with colours. A pantone number or name is unique and serves as useful tool for people (especially designers) to communicate colours they want.
Each year Pantone would select a symbolic colour of the year to represent our current culture. This colours also reflects the mood and attitude of our society in the year.

Personally I find the VDL palette colours seem to be one that I can use daily as compared to the “watercolor”-like colours on Sephora’s palette. What do you think?
