The world’s leading live entertainment company, Live Nation, and Korea’s top artist management firm, YG Entertainment, together with AIA Life Korea, will be presenting the unprecedented music festival with YG Family headlining on August 15 (Fri) and Lady Gaga taking over the stage on the August 16 (Sat). From overseas, one of the top global touring acts of our time, pop icon and trendsetter Lady Gaga has been confirmed as headliner. Her latest tour, Lady Gaga’s artRAVE: the ARTPOP ball tour is in supports of the multi-platinum-selling artist’s new album ARTPOP, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Making her appearance here more special is the news that Korea and Japan are the only countries she will be visiting on the Asia leg of this year’s tour.
YG Entertainment, Korea’s top artist management firm, will bring the top acts from YG Family to the festival. Artists including BIGBANG, 2NE1, PSY, EPIK HIGH, LEE HI, WINNER, TEAM B and AKMU will kick-off the festival and showcase their unique talents and music philosophies on August 15 (Fri). BIGBANG, the trend-setting band, achieved unparalleled success by performing in front of 800,000 fans over 48 shows across 24 cities during their world tour. 2NE1, the most groundbreaking girl group in Asia, has just released their new album “Crush”, which set a new record for Highest-Charting & Best-Selling K-pop Album of all time in the US. They are also touring around the world with their second world tour “2014 2NE1 WORLD TOUR [ALL OR NOTHING]” which is well-received in different cities. PSY exploded into the world’s pop music scene with his incredible hit “Gangnam Style” LEE Hi, one of the most promising female solo singers will be performing with her soulful voice. WINNER, the up and coming new artist of YG, has already garnered fans from all around the world even before the release of their debut album after winning in the TV talent “survival” show “Who Is Next”. AKDONG MUSICIAN, a young and refreshing duo whom has dominated numerous music charts with its debut album “Play” will be demonstrating their unrivalled talent during the show.
YG family concert has been kicked off in Osaka on April 12 and 13, followed by a 2-day impressive concert in Tokyo on May 3 and 4. The Japan leg tour alone has attracted more than 210,000 audiences.
Also, beside Lady Gaga and the members of YG Family, 5 hottest musicians in the current music scene, including Galaxy Express, Rock ‘N’ Roll Radio, Crayon Pop, Cazzette, and Twenty One Pilots will also participate in the festival.
