After long times waiting finally Tulus come to Jakarta with his 4th concert “Gajah”! “Gajah” means Elephant in Indonesia language, which is the same with his second album title and one of single title in his album.
Tulus is one of Indonesian jazz-indie musician who popular through his single “Sewindu”, “Sepatu”, “Gajah” and “Teman Hidup”. He is starting to get recognition due to his self-created poeticc-lyric which no other song do so. His music career was started in 2011 with his first self-titled album “Tulus”. Followed by “Gajah” as his second album in 2013, which contributed for his awards as Rookies of this Year in Rolling Stone Editors’ Choice Awards 2013 and Male Singer of The Year in NET ONE Indonesian Choice Awards 2014. However, these spotlights couldn’t great enough to drive him from his main job as an architect.
Different from other musicians, Tulus started his 4th concert in Bandung last September, which mainly because of his passion in Bandung as an inspirational city for his career. During this 2 hours concert there were more than 3.200 tickets sold in this concert. It makes “Gajah” is the one of the biggest indie concert in Indonesia during 2014.
Good news for “teman tulus” in Jakarta because Tulus will come very soon on this December. Held in Balai Kartini, Tulus promised to bring more successful performance to “teman tulus” in Jakarta. In one of his interview, Tulus said that he will sing 18 songs with 25 musician with an amazing stage and lighting. He said that some of the song will be rearranged to give a new color for the song. There are 3 ticket categories, such as Festival, VIP and VVIP with price ranges from Rp. 250.000 – Rp. 1.000.000 for VVIP. See you at Gajah, “teman tulus”!
