Jung Hae In Praises Singapore Haeiness’ Interactiveness at Singapore Fanmeeting

29 OCTOBER 2023, SINGAPORE – Suntec City Convention Hall

Jung Hae In kicked off his fanmeet – The 10th Season‘s last stop in Singapore before he returns to South Korea for his encore stage with the song Crazy – an OST from his recent drama D.P 2.

Boy, were Singapore Haniness in for a treat as his vocals were pretty great! After the song ended, he commented that he was so nervous that this was the first time he made a mistake while singing this song.

The first segment of the fanmeet started admist the cheers from the audiences. The first segment is called Photo Studio, and it’s a concept where Jung Hae In showed photos of him taken on set and he explained to his fans where each of the photos were taken. He did shared a TMI that while filming Connect, he had to wear an eye patch most of the time. And because of that it was hard for him during action scenes as it was difficult to guage the distance between him and his co-stars. He also ended up with an uneven eyesight due to wearing the eye patch over a long period of time but thankfully he managed to overcome that and his eyesight is fine again.

As Jung Hae In was sharing little episodes related to the photos of him on screen, the fans reacted so well that he exclaimed that this fanmeet in Singapore is the most interactive he had so far due to all the fun interaction Singapore Haeiness had with him.

Lastly before the first segment ends, when being asked what was something that he would like to say to his past self if he could go back in time to 10 years ago, he replied “There will be lots of ups and downs and you will go through difficult times. But hang in there, and you will be loved”

Second segment begined with staff pushing on stage a clothes rack. In this segment, Jung Hae In showed off some of the costumes of the characters that he has acted as. There was the outer coat and sweater that he wore in Something in the Rain, his pharmacist gown in One Spring Night and of course, the army uniform from his latest drama, D.P 2.

As fan service, he even put on the army uniform for his fans for the first time in Singapore!

He also brought the black cap that he wore in Snowdrop, which he was particularly attached to. As well as the eyepatch from Connect and the beret and boots from D.P 2.

When asked which particular role was he attached to the most, Jung Hae In replied with Snowdrop. Even though D.P 2 was deeply memorable to him as well but he was particularly attached to Snowdrop the most as he died in that drama. He even specially ask the director if they could film the death scene at the very end of the entire filming. He left the set sad and regretful. He shared that during Snowdrop, it was the filming and acting that was physically and emotionally challenging . He was also so immersed in his character in D.P 2, so much that he started to see the world around him in his Ahn Jun Ho character and perspective, thus seeing all the unfairness of the world.

The way that Jung Hae In detached from his character after every film is completed, he would work out a lot as that destresses him. Working out made him physically tired and all the emotions would go away.

Next part of the fanmeet was revealing the ranks of the 8 dramas that Jung Hae In starred in that Singapore Haeiness voted.

In 8th place was Goblin. The scene played on screen was when Tae Hee caught the baseball before it hits Ji Eun Tak. Jung Hae In shared that he could never get over this scene as his acting was still a little awkward then. And we quote him “Who catches a baseball and stays still like that?” drawing laughters from the audience.

Ranked 7th was Tune In for Love and Prision Playbook at 6th place. The scene that was shown on screen for Prison Playbook was when Captain Yoo received a letter saying that he’s granted a re-trial for his case and started sobbing so badly (tears of joy by the way!). When Jung Hae In appeared in this drama, he was first seemed to be a villian who ended up in prision, but was later revealed that he was wrongly accused. Jung Hae In felt that crying for him was challenging maybe because he don’t usually cry a lot. But he doesn’t give it a lot of thought before preparing for a crying scene or how he’ll look on screen crying. He just focus on his character and immerse himself in it and the emotions that the character is going through.

5th on the list was One Spring Night. Fans were cooing over how cute his character was and Jung Hae In humbly said that he’s not a cute person but would like to try bringing out more of his cute side in his future works.

While You Were Sleeping was ranked at 4th place and the scene that was shown was a topless scene of Jung Hae In. He shared that while preparing himself for a topless scene, he would not drink water for 2 days before the filming takes place but would hydrate himself once filming for the scene is over.

3rd was D.P 2, which Jung Hae In was surprised that it ranked so high as it wasn’t a romance drama nor melo drama. He shared and hope that there would be a Season 3 someday, where we see more of Corporeal Ahn Jun Ho.

Snowdrop was ranked 2nd. The dying scene in Snowdrop was very emotional for Jung Hae In and he shared that even after the scene has ended, he continued crying even when he was back in his waiting room. There were so much complicated emotions in him and he simply can’t stop those tears. He can’t stop crying not because that filming for Snowdrop is over, but rather the fact that he wasn’t able to see the staff and co stars that he got attached to while filming. The thought of unable to see them anymore makes him sad,

1st in place was Something in the Rain. The scene where Seo Joon Hee was cycling around Yoon Jin A and his lines were along the lines of “While you were sleeping?” and Jung Hae In said he was surprised at this line as he had starred in a drama with the title of the exact same line, so he wondered if this was purposely being written in by the scriptwriter.

After a quick interval, Jung Hae In came back with a change of attire and entered the stage once more holding onto a red umbrella and singing Stand By Your Man – the OST from Something In The Rain. He loves to sing and hope that maybe for his next drama he could participate in singing his drama’s OST too. He also shared that he’s planning to have a concert and he would probably sing a lot more songs then.

Then came the game segment which he played 3 games on stage and to complete the games before time is up. The games were Gonggi, Ddakiji and Bingo Pong.

After the game segment, Jung Hae In sat down and read 2 fan written letters that he have chosen. He invited the fans on stage after reading their letters and gifted them gifts. Singapore Haeiness then prepared a surprise video montage for him (which we think we saw him wiping away his tears after the end of the video. Aww)

Closing to the end of the fanmeet, Jung Hae In shared that he’ll end his fanmeeting in a healthy note with an encore tour in Seoul and come next year, he will be busily preparing for his new works. He’ll continue to do his best and hope to be back in Singapore again next year.

The fanmeet ended with Jung Hae In inviting his fans to sing along with him to I Choose To Love You.
