Big Bang members G-Dragon, Taeyang and Seungri were back in Singapore once again for their Thinking Of You Fan Meeting in Singapore, which was held in Singapore Indoor Stadium on Saturday evening.
The night started with the fan meeting segment, where lucky fans were randomly selected to go on stage. Among the selected ones, three of them were further shortlisted to personally get dressed up by G-Dragon, Taeyang and Seungri respectively.
By random allocation, G-Dragon was chosen to dress the fan up with a cute concept; Taeyang was given hip-hop concept and Seungri with sexy concept. It was defintely a night to remember for the three lucky fans as each of the member personally put on props for their fans – such as wrapping a scarf around the neck and helping to put on shades. Each of the lucky fan walked away with a one-to-one photo with the member who dressed them up too! For the other fans picked on stage earlier on but did not get chosen for the game, they also got to take a group photo with the members.
The host of the night, Dee Kosh managed to get G-Dragon, Taeyang and Seungri to twerk, much to the delight of all VIPs present. Seungri started the ball rolling by twerking to Fantastic Baby, and managed to get the other two members to follow suit as well.
It was time for the crowd to get high as the solo performances by the members begun, starting with Taeyang. Taeyang rocked the stage with Superstar, I Need A Girl, his first solo Only Look At Me and his latest solo Ringa Linga. Taeyang greeted the fans and added, “I love you & I’ll try my best to come back to Singapore again!” His impressive dancing skills drove the crowd crazy and VIPs screamed when he did a body wave during one of the songs.
Next up, it was Seungri’s turn to take the stage, beginning with his latest solo Let’s Talk About Love. Seungri got the crowd to hustle along with him for Gotta Talk To U and Strong Baby. Seungri then greeted fans and conversed entirely in English, “When I first came to Singapore, my english was horrible! But I’m very good at reactions!” Seungri continued, “Next stage is G-Dragon, my leader! Actually he doesn’t like me talking too much, but you guys paid good money to see me so I have to talk a lot! So GD, I don’t care you! I know you are superstar in Singapore, but I don’t care!”
Seungri added on he was just kidding with his statement and then he asked fans to follow him as he sang the lines of GG BE, before performing the full song but changing the lyrics to “I love you Singapore, I love you so much!” Seungri ended his stage with What Can I Do, amidst the laughter drawn from his humorous English ment.
The leader of Big Bang, G-Dragon got the crowd wild with him, starting with One Of A Kind and followed by Michigo. “You have no idea how much I missed you! I miss you so much!” G-Dragon exclaimed, before asking fans to follow him before performing Crayon. “When I sing swag, you sing check! When I sing get your, you sing crayon!” G-Dragon’s solo ended with Crooked, where he sat down and sang in front of fans at the extended stage, and even went down to the mosh pit.
The members reunited back on stage again for the encore performances of Let’s Talk About Love, Bad Boy and of course, Fantastic Baby. “We should have opportunities like this more often, because we’re having such a great time!” Taeyang told the fans present, to which they cheered in agreement.
The night was definitely a great one for all the VIPs who have attended the fan meet, who were left wanting more. We will definitely be hoping for Big Bang to return to Singapore again soon, but back with all five members!
