Korean-American singer Eric Nam was in Singapore on 30th July for his first ever showcase in Singapore, Eric Nam 1st Live in Singapore. The heart-throb began the showcase with “Heaven’s Door” and “You, Who?”, before greeting his Singapore fans, and was surprised by the turnout as it was only his first time here.

Eric still had not gotten the chance to try Singapore’s renowned chilli crab on the night of his showcase, and being a bread lover, he wanted to try roti prata as well! The emcee also took the opportunity to teach Eric how to use some Singlish terms, namely ‘shiok’ and ‘chiobu’!

The audience were immersed in Eric’s soulful vocals as he performed a series of emotional ballads, “I’m OK”, “No Comment” and a English cover of “Eyes, Nose, Lips”. The audience was also pleasantly surprised as he performed an English rendition of “Beautiful” from hit drama Goblin.

Lucky fans were also invited up on stage to get to interact with Eric Nam up close through games, and not just the fans on stage, but everyone at the venue got to know more about Eric!

The audience was blown away by Eric Nam’s Chinese pronunciation skills as he covered Eric Zhou’s “你，好不好” flawlessly. Fans also grooved to “Cave Me In” and his latest song “Idea Of You”, which to the singer himself was a very relatable song, especially for people who have been through breakups.

Eric also teased the crowd with a snippet of his upcoming song, which was tentatively titled “Like You”, prompting him to joke about his song titles all having “you” inside.

Everyone went crazy as Eric disappeared into the middle of the crowd to perform “Into You”. Fans were on their feet dancing along to “Can’t Help Myself” and “Ooh Ooh”, and Eric’s moves made everyone even more hyped up!

Eric returned for an encore stage of “Good For You”, and through the fans’ popular demand, he performed “Interview” and “Body”, where he did some sexy body waves for the latter song!

“You know that you could have me over and over again.” Like the last song for the night, fans definitely cannot wait for Eric Nam to return to Singapore to perform again soon.
