As one of Seoul-based indie duo, Offonoff, Colde has ventured as a solo artist since 2018 with his EP Wave (2018) and caught the attention of the Korean music industry. He announced his world tour “Blueprint” starting from the US in August 2024 and travelled through Asia, with his Singapore stop on 17 October 2024 at Esplanade’s Annexe Studio.
Colde has gained popularity with his albums like Love Part 1 (2019), Idealism (2021), and Love Part 2 (2023). As compared to Offonoff, which has a unique style of music, Colde has incorporated subtle RnB and Hiphop influence to his solo repertoire. These has captured enough attention to the Kpop scene and since then has collaborated with artists such as Chungha, Baekhyun and RM of BTS.
His sold-out concert started off strong with upbeat songs like ‘Toxic Love’, ‘Heartbreak Club’ and ‘YAYAYA’ to hype his Colde Blue (fandom name) by singing along.
During his break, Colde chirped in that he really loves Singapore and that he might even move here. His outfit for the show, “I ❤ SG” t-shirt with the heart shape in blue colour, was also customized by himself, further amusing his fans. He also took this time to introduce his talented band members, Basecamp who also showcased some of their instrumentals.
Performing the mellow side of his discography with songs like ‘If you love me (demo)’, ‘Poem’, ‘Sunflower’ and ‘WA-R-R’, Colde moved the hearts of the crowd by the vibey tunes and its touching and resonating lyrics. Much like the song ‘Sunflower’, the atmosphere became more romantic as he handed out real sunflowers. Knowing that his fans also missed his Offonoff days, Colde fulfilled their anticipation with the song ‘Dance’ from their 1st album Boy, and concluded the stage with Nirvana’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’.
Colde made an unforgettable night with his first concert here in Singapore and hopefully, it won’t be the last.
