As spring is finally here, many of us are flying off to countries like Japan and Korea to see cherry blossoms bloom, instead of squeezing with others on the streets just to get a glimpse of the cherry blossoms, why not hop over to some of these cafés around Korea to chill and look at the cherry blossoms?
#1. COMMON5 COFFEE
Disclaimer: According to the location tags, it seems like cherry blossoms at this area (Seochon Village) have not really bloomed yet. Do check first before heading down!
The first on our list is a café with a Scandinavian interior design, they have potted plants on every table, making the whole place look pretty and cosy, there is also a hint of vintage vibes in the café due to the sofas that they use.
Common5 Coffee has a menu with limited options, an Americano costs 4500 won (SGD $5.45) and a Vanilla Latte costs 5500 won (SGD $6.65). Some other drinks include a Hot Chocolate at 5500 won (SGD $6.65), Lemon Ginger at 6000 won (SGD $7.25) and Apple Juice at 7000 won (SGD $8.45).

#2. MANUFACT COFFEE
Manufact Coffee at Dosan Park boasts a slight industrial interior concept, with a tinge of modern minimalism incorporated into their interior design. This café is a really good spot for chilling and healing due to the amount of plants around the café.
Prices are relatively low at Manufact Coffee, serving up a variety of hand drip coffees such as a Colombia, each of these hand drip coffees costs 4000 won (SGD $4.85). They also have other espresso based coffees like the usual Americano and Lattes at 4000 won (SGD $4.85) and desserts like Biscotti at 3000 won (SGD $3.65) and a Lemon Cake at 4000 won (SGD $4.85).

#3. L’ESSAI
L’essai is a café located in Busan, both its interior and exterior screams minimalism, giving off a very chill vibe with its clean white walls and consistent colour scheme.
With an extensive menu, L’essai offers a variety of coffees and other beverages such as a Caramel Chocolate at 5000 won (SGD $6.05) and a Blueberry Yogurt Smoothie at 5500 won (SGD $6.65). They also serve cakes such as a Lemon Cheesecake at 6000 won (SGD $7.25) and a Oreo White Brownie at 5500 won (SGD $6.65).

#4. DOUX&
Doux& is a café located in Apsan, Daegu. This café is yet another minimalistic café, with some white marbled tables, some black tables and clean white walls and flooring, Doux& kept their colour scheme consistent as well, giving off chill vibes similar to L’essai.
Doux& has by far the one of the most extensive menu for a café, serving up healthy smoothies and cleansing juices such as Healthy Carrot at 6500 won (SGD $7.85) and a 7 Grain smoothie at 5700 won (SGD $6.90). They serve up the usual coffee based drinks as well as teas at 6000 won (SGD $7.25) and desserts such as a Strawberry Tiramisu at 6200 won (SGD $7.50).

#5. QUICHE MIGNON
Disclaimer: According to the location tags, it seems like cherry blossom trees outside the cafe have not really bloomed yet (but there’s some cherry blossoms sighted at Yeonnam-dong). Do check first before heading down!
This café located in Seoul, about a 5 minutes’ walk away from Hapjeong Station, boasts a rustic interior design, with wood and plants as its main concept, this café will make you feel like you’ve escaped city life for a while.
Quiche Mignon specialises in Tarts and Quiches but also offers other food items like Sandwiches and Salads, some items they offer include an Avocado Chicken Sandwich at 6000 won (SGD $7.25) and a Beef and Mushroom Salad at 11500 won (SGD $13.90). Beverages here include Beers, Wines, Fresh Juices, Tea, Coffee and Smoothies.
Teas such as Ceylon and Darjeeling Tea are at 6000 won (SGD $7.25) each, most of their drinks are 6000 won (SGD $7.25) and below, while alcohol here is slightly pricier.
As Quiche Mignon specialises in Tarts and Quiche, they’ve got a selection of over 20 types of Tarts and Quiches. Some of the interesting options they have are Lime Marshmallow Tart at 4200 won (SGD $5.10), Eggs Benedict Quiche at 3800 won (SGD $4.60) and a Shrimp Risotto Quiche at 3800 won (SGD $4.60).
