All the contestants were surprised and upset following Melissa’s sudden elimination in episode 7. Cliques were starting to form and the girls were getting vocal about their opinions. Meanwhile, Tahlia got a breast cancer scare and visited the medical center for a check-up.
Georgina Wilson and Giovanni Wihayak, TRESemmé’s expert stylist got right into the first challenge of episode 8. This week, the girls must re-create 7 top runway hair trends. The prize for winning was immunity from elimination! Monika outshined the girls yet again and secured her spot in the top 6.
Shortly after, Georgina popped by the model house to have a one-on-one session with the girls. Georgina and Tahlia talked about her health concerns and encouraged her to fight on the competition after having been through so much.
Alex Perry and photographer Jez Smith met the girls and presented them with the whole city of Singapore as their studio for the day’s shoot. The photos were expected to be effortless and look like a captured moment. Andien Aisyah – a famous Indonesian singer who was also one of the guest judges for this episode, gave the girls a boost of confidence and great advice before their shoot.
During the shoot, Amanda’s photoshoot time was cut short due to unexpected weather, giving her a disadvantage. Meanwhile, Aimee transformed into a real woman on a mission and Barbara astonished the judges with her jaw dropping performance.
This week’s deliberation was the most difficult of all – all of the girls performed at a top model level, but a decision had to be made. At this stage of the competition, one bad photoshoot and anyone could be eliminated as the series heads towards the final.
The girls learn about balance and rhythm in the next episode, with a high-fashion aerial shoot!
