The “ZE:A Asia Tour 2011 in Hong Kong” swept onto the shores of Asia shopping paradise, Hong Kong. ZE:A arrived in Hong Kong on the 28th June 2011 to kick-start their concert promotional activities in Hong Kong. The 1st major event is scheduled on the 29th June 2011with a press conference, and followed by the actual concert on 30th June 2011. KAvenyou is glad to be part of this event organised by Elf Asia.
Press Conference – 29th June 2011
The press conference to promote ZE:A’s debut show in Hong Kong – “ZE:A Asia Tour 2011 in Hong Kong”, was held at The Langham Place in Mongkok.
The Langham Place, located in the very heart of Mongkok, is a quintessential fashionable landmark of the Kowloon district. This is also the reason why ZE:A chose to hold their first press conference in Hong Kong at The Langham Place as it matches perfectly well with their trendy image. Over hundred fans gathered at the shopping mall and waited patiently to meet ZE:A.
Fans started to gather at the press conference location as early as 2 hours ahead of the event scheduled to begin at 5.30pm (Hong Kong Time). The crowd went wild the moment the boys appeared from the back of the stage, and the entire proceedings began.
This is the 1st time ZE:A would officially perform in Hong Kong, even though 2 other members have already been to the country for unofficial trips. During the interview segment, Si Wan shared with the fans on his excitement and how he was surprised by the amount of support they have from the Hong Kong fans, the moment the step foot out of the airport. He added that the members has already done some “homework” about the country, and will be looking forward to the various things they can do and visit.
When asked about their impressions about the fans (girls) in Hong Kong, Kwang Hee answered with his usual bright smile by saying “very pretty”, which sent the fans into euphoria. On a side note, Kwang Hee seem to have a strong following among Hong Kong fans (girls) from the reaction every time he speaks. Kevin shared that their future plans will include an impending comeback in Korea and continuing with their Asia tour, and asked for fans to look forward to it.
What will a press conference and fan meet be without some performance?
Min Woo was first up with a simple magic performance, where he personally gave a necklace from the performance to a member of the media below the stage, with fans looking with envy. That was followed by a performance with Kwang Hee dancing to the sexy moves of miss A’s “Good Girl Bad Girl”, which once again heats up the stage at Langham Place.
The boys ended the series of performance with a display of their singing abilities with an A Capella performance, which sent the fans quiet enjoying the beautiful vocals.
The final highlight of the press conference lies with the emcees requesting for each member to address the fans, and to no surprise it was Kwang Hee who added the final spice to the event. He asked for the fans to continue supporting their album and spoke in mandarin to the fans saying “You are my chocolate”.
It has also been noted that the boys visited “The Peak” for dinner and the “Madame Tussaud’s Wax Musuem”, which are popular tourist attractions in Hong Kong.
Concert – 30th June 2011
The “ZE:A Asia Tour 2011 in Hong Kong” concert was held at the Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition centre on the 30th June 2011. Hundreds of excited fans bought tickets to the event and there are hardly any empty seats left from what we can see.
The official concert posters are everywhere at the concert location, and of course we brought some back with us (hint: they are all signed by the members). I wonder what we are going to do with the posters.
We are surprised at how passionate ZE:A fans are with the beautiful hand-made fanboards that we just had to take a shot or 2.
The concert began with a short clip being shown on the large digital backdrop, which seems similar to that from ZE:A’s 3rd digital single “이별드립 (Level Up)” teaser. The concert began with hit songs like “Be My Girl”, “Again” and “”Level Up”, with “Level Up” escalating the excitement level from the fans.
In between songs, there would be short intervals where the boys would grab a drink and towel for a break and speak to the fans. There were also special segments where the boys did special performances, which included an extended version of their A Capella performance from the press conference and Min Woo repeated his magic performance of turning a burning handkerchief into a necklace and gave to a lucky fan. He then joined Kwang Hee, Si Wan and Hee Cheol in dancing to the hits from popular girl groups Girls’ Generation (“Show, Show, Show”) and Miss A (“Good Girl, Bad Girl”).
Dong Jun did a perfect individual performance, which heated not only the stage, but also the entire concert hall by taking off his top to show his beautiful abs.
The ZE:A boys continued their believe in delivering large amount of fan service by engaging them in a segment of Hong Kong tongue twisters where they exchanged “lessons” on it. The members also invited 9 lucky fans onto the stage to enjoy various Hong Kong snacks and its popular Dim Sum with them.
The concert officially ended with the performance of “Here I Am”, and with fans screaming for an encore, the boys continued to further close things off with their popular hit “Mazeltov”.
At the end of the concert, all fans who purchased the HKD880 tickets were given a chance to meet face-to-face with ZE:A for an autograph session.
This brings about the end of KAvenyou‘s coverage of the “ZE:A Asia Tour 2011 in Hong Kong”, and once again thanks to Elf Asia for inviting us to the show.

Honestly at the first time i didn’t really like ZE:A. Until one day they came to Singapore, me and my friends went to airport to take a look. They’ve good fan service and right after they arrive Singapore, my friend received a call of her winning a pair or tickets. So both of us went to the fan meet. They perform really well, they sings pretty good. And we also get to take video and photos of them, and got handshake session! After that i think i can’t resist how hot they are, so gradually I’m in love with them! But it was a sad thing, my hard drive which have stored their pictures/videos have problem and all the data gone, i lost all my ZE:A pictures/videos, i cried T.T ( I know all this doesn’t seems to link to what i should post ) But i just wanna say that i love ZE:A and i really hope i get a chance to win this poster ^^ Can see them hanging in my room, it’s like covering the wounds of losing their pictures/videos T.T

I discovered ZE:A in a very serendipitous way. My best friend brings his PSP everyday to school when we were in our 2nd year of high school. One random day, his PSP’s LCD got broken and we had to guess what we wanted to listen to. So one time when I borrowed it, I guessed and I thought I was on SNSD’s album on his PSP. SO I went to the bottom to listen to RDR, then when I pressed (X) Love Coach played. I was quite surprised at first, but after listening Love Coach, I was surely hooked. I asked my friend who they were and he said that they were ZE:A, so my fan instincts told me to check them out. Right as I got home, I searched them up on the internet. Immediately rushing to youtube just to search for them. I was disappointed at first because I found out that Love Coach did not have an MV, but you wouldn’t believe how I felt after watching Mazeltov and All Day. I knew that I was now a huge huge fan of ZE:A. I got right into memorizing their names and birthdays (Yes I did memorize their birthdays) taking a particular interest in DongJun and Kevin. Main vocals of groups have a certain pull on me, so I looked at them first. And now, both of them are my favorites ^___^ A few weeks after that, I found out that they were going to release an MV for Level Up! Oh the joy! I anticipated the release of the MV everyday, logging into my computer just to see whether or not the video has been released. But, alas, fate truly is cruel, the MV was never going to be released. A feeling of cruelty had come over me. I got over it in a few weeks, then the teaser came for Love Letter! And now I felt really really good, because it was a ballad and ballads were my ultimate favorites. When it came out in December, I was absurdly hooked. (Hahaha) My ringtone was Love Letter, my alarm was Love Letter, my ringback was Love Letter, and even my closing tune for my laptop was, yup, Love Letter. It would be sometimes the only thing I would listen to in a day. Few months later, Here I Am’s teaser came out! The teaser baffled me at first, since it never occurred to me that they would put in the concept of Guardian Angels. ^_____^ I was again very excited and I kept on musing about it, I talked about it on facebook, and twitter, and everywhere! Then after that, I found out that the Lovability album, was going to come with a Photobook! It got me more riled up! The scream-fest I had when I found out was inexplicably tiring and soul-soothing. (for me) Here I Am came out after, I loved it, but I liked Special Day better. And now, they have a new mini album, the Special mini album called Exciting. When the video of DongJun and Hyungshik falling overboard was released, I was actually too oblivious to think about it. I watched it just to guess what the new MV was going to be about. Along with the teaser of Watch Out!, Heart for 2′s teaser was already released. I honestly like Heart for 2 better, that’s why I keep on waiting for it, enjoying every second of their performances. You can even see that every single person in ZE:A has improved.
I have been a huge fan of ZE:A ever since they debuted. THeir songs always capture me in a dome of self-esteem and joy, they can keep me happy for an entire day, and I never get sick of their songs. They’re all humble, nice and caring people. Great singers, great dancers and great rappers, ZE:A is an entire package. They care a lot for Styles and they will always Number 1 to me. Junyoung, Kevin, Minwoo, Hyungshik, Dong Jun, Taehun, Heechul, Kwanghee, and Siwan, I am very thankful that Star Empire got all 9 of you together to make ZE:A the Children of Empire, and I thank all 9 of you for being a great group for all of your fans. Fighting! ^__________^

Have been supporting ZE:A since their 하루종일 promotional period and I’ve been in love with them since then. No amount of words can describe how excited I was when Sony decided to bring them to Singapore for a fanmeet last year cause to me, it’s like a dream come true and watching them performing LIVE was all that matters to me since each and every one of their songs represent something special to me.
Mazeltov is like the song in which you can witness their growth since their pre-debut wingcar performance and every time they perform it, you can see how much they have grown and how much they have improved.
하루종일 is special because this IS the song that made me fall in love with them.
이별드립 is the single in which you can see their involvement in the designing of their outfits and the creation of their own concept photos.
Special Day is really significant because the lyrics are written by the boys, specially for their fans. What more could I ask for? It seems as though it’s a confession and promise to all ZE:As that have supported them thus far.
Both Watch Out and Here I Am are happy summer songs, but to me, they are songs that make me worry for them. Thinking back to their Here I Am promotional period, Junyoung got into a minor accident and the group has to perform with a 8-men stage. And now, with Kevin and Dongjun down, it came to a point that I would rather my boys have more rest than exposure on mainstream music shows. To me, nothing seems more important than their health.
Everything about them is special to me like how ZE:As is forever important and special to them. I have not seen them since Kpop Night Concert last year and I really hope that Sony will bring them in again this year for another fan meeting. I’m really missing my boys.
As a result, thanks for the awesome coverage and photographs! Nothing made my day more than this! Looking forward to another coverage when the boys head to Hong Kong for the “K-POP Boys in Power LIVE in HK 2011” next month! ^^

I have never been a huge fan of Kpop and usually condemned people who liked it thinking it was stupid to listen to music in a foreign language i didn’t understand. However, my friends usually influenced me by making me listen to korean pop song’s or watch korean shows. bit by bit i took a liking to korean music but was still hestitant about it. one day, my sister was watching Let’s Go Dream Team on KBSTV and there was Dongjun, my current bias of ZE:A. Though i’ve never listened to korean music much ,i thought that he looked cute and googled him.BAM i discovered ZE:A. At first not having heard of the band, i merely youtube-d one of their more famous and recent songs Here I Am. I was shocked by their sweet vocals and cute image they portrayed as opposed to the bad-boy image many bands try to portray. their music spoke out to me and really captivated me. this has turned me into a full blown kpop fan and liking other bands even more.
I love ZE:A for pulling me into this k-pop wave of music,
For brightening up my day as i look at their videos,
Cheer me up as i listen to their songs,
Spam my replay button to watch their MV’s,
Being such a great wallpaper for my phone,
being my alarm in the morning,
Wishing me good luck everyday when i listen to Malzetov,
Being my imaginary husbands and many more.
i also apprecite their existence and hard work with all the hard choreography to master and songs to sing
Thus now i spread my love for them by sending their songs to my friends to hear and forcing them to look at pictures of them and have succeeded in creating more ZE:A fans!
But of course i regret missing their fanmeet here in singapore as i was not a fan of them before but only recently.Hope that they will visit singapore soon and let me, this ardent fan meet them. So please let me win as i really wish to hang this great poster up in my room so that i can see my favourite everyday on my wall.
