29 April 2015, Singapore – With the upcoming of Super Junior – Super Show 6 Concert happening this Friday, KAvenyou has prepared a Wanderlust Wednesday featuring Kona Beans cafe that was opened by Leeteuk, Kyuhyun and Sungmin’s ommas (mothers) respectively!
You are able to Kona Beans’ outlets almost everywhere in South Korea and you will be wondering are those also owned by Super Junior ommas too? Of course not! Basically Leeteuk, Kyuhyun and Sungmin ommas owned one of the franchised outlet of Kona Beans and it is located at Apgujeong! It might take you a while to get there since it is not really near the subway station!
Kona Beans cafe is a hawaiian themed cafe but if you have managed to visit their café, it will definitely be more than just hawaiian themed because it is also filled with photos of the 3 handsome men! ^^;
The cafe is very spacious, it is both indoor and alfresco. Outdoor seats are mainly catered to people who wish to smoke while enjoying their coffee. Indoor seats are filled with couches and comfortable chairs and tables! As you step further inside, you will be able to find the big signage of Kona Beans, and below the signage lies 2 trophies that I believe was given by ELFs (Super Junior Official Fanclub, Everlasting Friends) and also photo frames of Leeteuk, Kyuhyun and Sungmin!
If you are an ELF, and a bias of Leeteuk, Kyuhyun or Sungmin, you will definitely be overwhelmed by the decorations in the cafe!! Every space or spot you can see in the cafe are filled up with other plushies, fan art, fan boards, fan letters or photos of them! It was really heartwarming and amazing with the amount that fans contributed in decorating the cafe 🙂
As for the food and drinks, it is really affordable! Priced at around 3000 won to 6000 won! Less than SGD10! I had my brunch over there, and there is free wifi too!
While I was enjoying my time over at the cafe, Kyuhyun’s omma was there too, initially we thought it would be hard for us to talk to her since she was occupied with some paperwork over the counter. But surprisingly she came out and greeted the fans, asking them where they are from and how are they doing! Some of the fans who were there also got the chance to take photos with her! ^^;
We heard that Kyuhyun and Sungmin‘s omma have dropped out of the Kona Beans partnership due to the opening of the guest house in Myeong Dong run by Kyuhyun‘s mother and Sungmin‘s Wiki Cafe. But! Super Junior members still visit the café often and help out with operations, especially Leeteuk!
Be sure to visit the cafe if you are in Seoul! You might bump into any of them while you are there! ^^;
