Thousands Coming to L.A. for Largest U.S. Convention for K-pop Fans: KCON 2013

In October of last year, the first successful K-Pop convention was held at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, California. Filled with a variety of activities, the convention was closed with a star-studded concert at the end of the day that featured G.NA, 4minute, EXO-M, B.A.P, VIXX and NU’EST, as well as AJ Raphael, Dumbfoundead, Daze47 and BWB as the opening acts.
After a hugely successful inaugural event last year, KCON has gotten bigger moving to Los Angeles for the first time and expanding to two days.
KCON is set to take place on August 24 and 25 at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena in Los Angeles. The concert will also be the first ever U.S. taping of the #1 K-Pop countdown show, MCOUNTDOWN. Headlining acts of M COUNTDOWN What’s up LA includes leading K-pop artists, such as EXO, F(X), 2AM, TEEN TOP, Dynamic Duo, and leader of K-pop group BIG BANG, GDRAGON.
