[COVERAGE] Rain Tour in Singapore – “THE SQUALL” Press Conference

The King of Korean pop music, Rain (also known as Jung Ji Hoon), was in town for his latest concert tour “THE SQUALL”.

Clad in white suit and a black tie, Rain politely greeted the media and fans who were present at the press conference as he entered the room.

With his concert happening the next day, he revealed that he will be performing his newer songs, along with his classics.  As Singapore’s concert is also of a smaller-scale compared to other countries, fans can also look forward to closer interaction with Rain and see the more “natural” side of him! 🙂

Just a week or two ago, a teaser photo was shared on Rain’s website announcing the date of his new album release. Speaking of his new album, which is scheduled to be released on 15 January 2017, he revealed that the album will consist of an R&B track produced by Psy, as well as a Chinese track. With only two weeks left to the release of the new album, Rain urged fans to stay tuned as more teaser videos will be up soon.

Besides his music career, Rain has also starred in dramas, such as Korean dramas “Please Come Back, Mister” and “My Lovely Girl”, and Chinese Drama “Diamond Lover”. His latest Chinese drama “Endless Love” starring f(x) Victoria, will be released next year. When asked about his experience working with Victoria, he praised her acting skills and her lively and cute character. If he had the chance, he would also love to film in Singapore as he loves the country very much.

During the press conference, Rain also revealed that he is currently grooming a new boyband who will be debuting earliest next year, if not, in 2018, under his newly established entertainment label – the Rain Company.
