Following its smash in Korea with audience of forty thousands, YG Entertainment’s Fifteen-Year-Celebration Concert has been surfacing Japan.
Singers who belong to YG Entertainment, including Jinusean, Big Bang, 2NE1, Se7en, Gummy, Tablo, Psy, and others captivated audience of eighty thousands, who gathered at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka on January 7 & 8.
2NE1 opened the concert with their hit “Fire,” which turned the whole concert area into a massive club with screaming fans. Appearing of the five-member group Big Bang made the screaming even more thunderous.
Releasing his new mini-album in Japan on January 18, Se7en performed with the title songs “Somebody Else” and “Better Together.” Se7en made the performance special by singing Japanese versions of the songs for Japanese fans who had long awaited him.
Psy and Tablo, who have recently signed with YG Entertainment, enthralled the audience with their own characteristic performances. Reportedly, Psy’s performance parodying Lady Gaga, Beyonce, and other female singers provided Japanese fans with shocking, hilarious entertainment.
Solo female artist Gummy, who recently released album in Japanese, overwhelmed the audience with a powerhouse voice and fluent Japanese, and seasoned duo Jinusean elicited great responses from the audience.
At the concert, the singers and groups gave 41 performances with special collaborated ones including 2NE1’s “Lonely” by Se7en, Big Bang’s Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri, Tablo’s song by Gummy, Taeyang, and Park Bom and others as well as each teams’ and solo’s individual performances. The three-and-a-half-hour-long concert kept the audience thrilled during the concert all the way.
The concert is meaningful in that it was held after 5 years since YG Family’s Ten-Year-Celebration Concert in 2006. About a hundred outlets appeared at the conference for the concert in Japan.
Having been a megahit in Osaka, YG Family Concert goes on to Super Arena in Saimata on January 21 & 22.
