Tanaka Hisakatsu, the head of music editing department of Oricon, says, “Kara is ranked fourth and the fifth ranking belongs to SNSD. It’s very symbolic for having two Korean groups ranked in top five.” Kara and SNSD earned 73.1 million and 60.1 million won.
In addition, a street was built in Shin-Okubo for Korean cosmetic brands, and the cosmetic products advertised by Korean celebrities are also gathering much popularity. Besides, Korean drama series are taking quite a few parts in TV schedules in Japan.
