Actor Song Seung Hun participated in the charity for Vietnamese children and donated about 60 million won.

On January 7, Song appeared in the charity held by the National Fund for Vietnamese Children (www.nfvc.org.vn) at the Vietnam National Convention Center.

The National Fund for Vietnamese Children was established in 1994 and has been supporting Vietnamese children in their studies, heart and eye operations, and some orphanages.

The Deputy Minister of Labour Doan Mau Diep, the Director of the National Fund for Vietnamese Children Vu Anh Dao, and the Korean ambassador to Vietnam Ha Chan Ho appeared at the charity. Along with putting Song Seung Hun teddy bear up for auction, he donated about 51, 857 dollars (about 60 million won) in a single day, showing off his influence as a Hallyu star.

Song said, “Whether in Korea or Vietnam, children are hope and future of the country. I hope this event of good intention would give some hope to the children in need.”

During his visit to Vietnam, Song has fascinated the local media by keeping a warm, friendly attitude. For the rest of his stay, he plans to visit the Korean Language Department at Ho Chi Minh National University and share some things about Korean language and culture with native Vietnamese students.
