Following last year’s success of the youth football clinic that saw Liverpool legends on the pitch with over 100 students at Tanglin Trust School, Castlewood Group has taken it one step further this year, bringing Masters from both Liverpool and Manchester United back to Tanglin Trust School as part of its community giveback programme.

For the second year running, 29 Liverpool and Manchester United Masters legends including Jerzy Dudek, Robbie Fowler, Ronny Johnsen and Keith Gillespie coached over 70 students in shooting, passing and game activities. The exercise was followed by a meet-and-greet for students to get photos with their favourite Masters legends.

“As a Singaporean company, we strongly believe in contributing and working with the local community whenever possible. In recent years we’ve given back either by offering traditional sports programmes or donating to local charities, and wanted to continue the tradition this year. In addition to supporting the national agenda of keeping students involved in sports, we want to inspire them with the opportunity to learn from world-class football superstars,” said CEO of Castlewood Group, Chris Comer.

“At Tanglin we value learning outside of the classroom and we encourage our students to take advantage of the many opportunities that are on offer to them. Having the football legends at our school created an unforgettable moment for our students and a buzz of excitement within our community. Our thanks to the Castlewood Group for this wonderful opportunity.” commented Tanglin CEO, Peter Derby-Crook.
