The hallyu wave has been sweeping over the whole world with its tear-jerking dramas, sassy characters, picture perfect idols and hard dancing bands. Almost anyone in any country would be listening to a Korean track in their music players, or could be watching the latest Korean drama or movie on their television sets. This goes to show how big the Korean wave is, and yes, that includes the tiny dot on the world map, Singapore.

SG K-Wave (http://www.sgkwave.com) is a forum portal for fans of the hallyu wave (K-pop, dramas, movies, Korean models & anything to do with the entertainment industry) in Singapore to interact. Upon logging in, one can see recently uploaded images of stars and celebrities. At the time of review, images of Hwang Mi Hee (a model/race queen) were on the screen. One will definitely have to be impressed by the scope of this forum, as it covers from idol groups, solo singers to dramas and actors discussion threads. On top of that, they even had a dance community and a section to talk about Korea as a generic topic.

Blue is pre-dominantly used in this site, but one can feel the calming effect it has on the viewers. The links are clearly organised and arranged in that one would not get lost in finding the relevant items. An interesting thing to see on the site at the time of review is a post where the members have arranged a SNSD gathering where the fans can come together to know each other, have fun and listen to SNSD songs for that few hours. Some members have even arranged to come in full SNSD garp as per their MTVs and all. SM Entertainment has even been informed of this event, which goes to show the power fans can have in supporting their idols.
