John Mayer goes Gangnam Style with PSY
American pop star John Mayer was spotted “horse-riding” dancing with Psy.
On September 7, YG Entertainment which manages Psy posted a picture on its official Twitter account and commented, “Psy with John Mayer at the ceremony before the MTV Video Music Awards.”
Psy and Mayer are doing a pose from horse-riding dance, the representative dancing routine of “Gangnam Style.” Mayer is a famous pop singer who was awarded with the Grammy Awards seven times.
The picture was taken at the free party held before the MTV VMA.
When “Gangnam Style” played in the background during the awards ceremony, Psy showed up on stage doing the “horse-riding” dance with the host of the event, comedian Kevin Hart.
Introduced as a “YouTube Star,” Psy attracted attention as he spoke in Korean. He said, “I feel great and happy. I’ve always wanted to speak in Korean on this stage at least once. Isn’t it awesome?”
Also, Katy Perry and Rihanna appeared surprised and amused on the screen as they had been watching Psy all along.
The Korean singer recently made a contract with the Universal Republic Records for album release and with Justin Bieber’s agency Scooter Brown Project for management.
On September 4, the music video of Psy’s “Gangnam Style” received over a hundred million hits on YouTube. It’s the largest number of hits received as a Korean singer. Psy achieved this in only 52 days.
