The rivals will battle it out on the field at The Castlewood Group Battle Of The Reds 2015, scheduled to take place at Singapore’s National Stadium on 14 November.

Singaporeans’ love for English football remains unabated as demand for tickets continues to grow for The Castlewood Group Battle Of The Reds 2015. The lower tiers of the North and South Stands are sold out and organisers are opening up the upper tiers of both ends to meet the demand.

Interest in this highly anticipated match is not limited only to the spectators. Players are equally excited to be back on the pitch as organisers revealed the full team lists. Collectively, the impressive line-up of players has more than 30 English Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners’ medals in their trophy cabinets.

After his successful stint last year, Ian Rush will be returning to manage the Liverpool legends for their clash with rivals Manchester United, helmed by Paul Parker. Having played in Singapore before, the Liverpool Masters may have experience on their side, but the Manchester United Masters could leverage their advantage of local favour with Parker having been based in Singapore for the last four years.

Robbie Fowler and Lee Sharpe, both regular visitors to Singapore, were in town today to share their experiences and memories of the rivalry between the two dynamic clubs – one that continues to dominate and capture the imagination of football fans around the world today.

“It’s always amazing to come halfway across the world from England and still sell thousands of tickets. It is absolutely incredible and a privilege. Everyone is really looking forward to the game,” shared Sharpe.

Adding on, Fowler said, “Not only is this a good excuse to play against Manchester United again, but also an unbeatable opportunity to visit this fantastic country. This match will be an absolute classic, and we’re certainly looking forward to it. Thank you Masters Football Asia and Castlewood Group for bringing us over.”
