Kara’s Goo Hara grabs attention as she had visited her boyfriend, B2ST’s Yong Jun Hyung, at his house.

On February 21, KBS 2’s Seung Seung Jang Gu aired a special feature of B2ST. All B2ST’s members, as well as their fathers appeared on the show and shared interesting stories.

When the emcee asked fathers, “Who do you like as your daughter-in-law among girl group members?” Yong Jun Hyung’s father answered, “Once, Jun Hyung brought Goo Hara home. She seemed like a good kid with bright personality,” revealing that Goo once visited their house.

He inspired laughter when he added, “I was very shocked at first. They shouldn’t have been busted…”

The episode attracted many viewers as it broadcasted B2ST members frankly speaking what they had been through to debut as B2ST.

Girl group Secret preparing to win Japan over for the second time, this time with a ballad.

Secret will release their second Japanese single “So Much Goodbye” on February 29.

The group has primarily released dance music but they will release their first ballad as a title song.

Secret was very popular with their first album Love is Move, which was release last year. They started performing in Japan again on February 19 by appearing on NHK’s Music Japan. They are in the planning stages of promoting their new single.

Secret successfully debuted in Japan in August of last year with their single “Madonna.” The single ranked 9th on the first day of its release and continued into the Top 10 list.

On February 21, Secret’s agency, TS Entertainment, said, “The group members will focus primarily on singing their emotional song rather than their performance.”

Secret has released many hit songs, including, “Magic,” “Madonna,” and “Shy Boy.” They debuted in Japan and they are currently keeping busy in Japan.

Kang Minhyuk, member of male rock band CNBLUE is indeed a professional and is loyal to his work.

Even though his band is currently in the middle of their nationwide Fan Club Tour in Japan, Kang Minhyuk made time and flew back to Korea earlier today to attend the press conference for KBS2′s new weekend drama “My Husband Got A Family” and his appearance at the event attracted the media. The press conference was held at Seoul Imperial Palace at 2 PM.

All throughout the course of the press conference, Kang Minhyuk appeared to be doing his job well, as one of the cast in the new drama.

A representative from Kang Minhyuk‘s agency said,”In order to attend the press conference, he (Minhyuk) flew back to Korea this morning from Japan. It’s his busy day today, but he was strongly determined to attend this event. He will fly back to Japan at 4.30 PM (local time) and CNBLUE‘s next gig will start at 7.30 PM.”

Kang Minhyuk said at the press conference,“For this drama I will be playing as Kim Namju noona’s brother.” He also added, “This would be my first time acting as a “playboy”, but I will try my best to portray the character well,” revealing his strong determination.

Meanwhile, “My Husband Got A Family” (based on KBS World title) tells a story about a “competent orphan” who’s also a successful career woman Cha Yunhui (Kim Namju). She met and married a surgeon Bang Gwinam (Yoo Junsang) not knowing the “storm” she would be facing living with her in-laws. The drama will start its first broadcast on February 25.

Davichi’s Kang Min Kyung was recently selected as a representative for a cosmetic brand.

On February 20, DHC Korea said, “We selected Kang as our new Muse.”

Kang is well known for her milky white skin and long slim legs and arms. When she shot a commercial for the brand last month, she captivated the entire crew’s eyes by performing and posing well.

A spokesperson for DHC said, “We decided to select Kang as our representative because she has soft and clear skin. She also has a fabulous figure.”

After leaving a strong impression on viewers with his acting debut on MBC “The Sun and The Moon“, ZE:A‘s Siwan is now being brought back into the limelight.

Just recently, Siwan’s schedule has become tighter as he has been cast in new KBS series “Man of the Equator.” This time, he received yet another offer to play the lead in an upcoming MBC sitcom.

According to Star Empire on February 20th, Siwan was offered to play the male lead in MBC sitcom “Standby” (tentative title), set to air after current series “High Kick 3″ which will end its run in mid-March.

“It is true that Siwan is a strong candidate for the lead role though we have yet to make a final decision since he is currently busy shooting ‘Man of the Equator’ in Busan,” the official explained.

Siwan was cast to take the role of younger version of Lee Jang Il in “Man of the Equator” which is set to air every Wednesday and Thursday starting March 14th.

K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation has stunned not just fans but also the staff of The Associated Press by generating tens of thousands of hits on the news wire’s Web site.

The girls were interviewed by The AP while making television appearances in the United States early this month.

As The AP distributes its content to publications worldwide, it doesn’t usually generate a lot of hits on its own Web site. However, the interview with Girls’ Generation saw so much traffic that representatives of the news wire said they were shocked.

“We looked at where the hits were coming from and we noticed that the viewers were from not just Korea and Asia, but all over the world. Girls’ Generation proved that they are well known all throughout the globe,” said a representative from The AP.

The girls were cheerful, polite and eager subjects during the interview, according to staff members that were present.

Idol group Infinite has been picked by Samsung Electronics to become the face of the brand’s line of smart mp3 players.

Samsung Electronics announced on February 20 that the seven-member boy band was picked to promote the Galaxy Player in order to market the device for teenaged consumers.

In addition to the standard mp3 and video player, the Galaxy Player contains a WiFi feature that allows the user to connect to social networking sites, online games and educational content as well as various Samsung applications. The product has often been likened to the iPod Touch.

A TV commercial featuring Infinite will begin to air starting in March.

Jay Park’s first independent concert, Jay Park – New Breed Live In Seoul, scheduled to be held on March 3, was all sold out in just ten minutes.

As soon as the ticket sales were opened on February 20 via YES24, a big crowd of fans were surged to get the ticket, to paralyze the site. Even after the tickets were all sold out, there was a deluge of requests from fans for additional ticket sales.

There are a number of responses on the Internet about the sold-out news: “This is a real ‘Jay Effect’.” “You’re today’s real trend.” “I was really worried about failing to get the ticket.” “Please allow us to get additional tickets!”

Hearing the sold-out news of his upcoming concert, Jay Park expresses his sincere gratitude to fans by saying, “I want to deliver my deep gratitude to your constant interest and support for me. I’m doing my upmost efforts not to let you down. I’ll want to make my first independent concert fantastic and indelible.”

Jay Park’s first regular album, New Breed, dominated major music-download sites at home and abroad.

19 February 2012 – Super Junior is back on Singapore shores once again, but this time round for their first leg of Super Junior World Tour – Super Show 4 in Southeast Asia, held in the Singapore Indoor Stadium on the 18^th and 19^th February.

The total production cost for Super Show 4 in Singapore is $2 million, and the total audience for the two-night sold out concert exceeded 11,000 people, where almost all official merchandises on sale was sold out. After the successful first night of their concert in Singapore, the boys appeared smartly dressed in matching shades of black and grey outfits for the press conference.

Below are the questions and answers from the media conference:

Q: Some of us here have yet to see your show, I heard it was amazing last night. But some of us did see Super Show 3. So what’s the biggest difference between this show, Super Show 4, and what you’ve done before?

Leeteuk: The biggest difference for this time with is show is that we have a lot of movable stages to make the whole visual more dynamic and dramatic, and the whole show will be visually appealing to all of you here.

Q: You’ve been here a few times, did you do anything different in Singapore this time round?

Leeteuk: Every time we visit Singapore, we feel that it is such a beautiful country with lots of things to see, so we always want to come here to travel not only when there is a show, but really to have a trip in Singapore. And this time we had lots of pepper crab which is one of our favourite Singaprean dish and we really really love it! We want to bring it back to Korea and launch the dish in Korea as well!

Q: If each of you could choose to be another Super Junior member, who will it be and why?

Shindong: It has to be Ryeowook. Because he has a very clear voice when he sings so that’s something I really envy. And Ryeowook has been working out pretty much so he has this nice abs that I am really jealous of.

Ryeowook: I want to be Shindong! Shindong has a really big appetite and he can eat as much as he wants. I feel that Shindong is very handsome as well. (Shindong: Thank you!)

Sungmin: I want to be Kyuhyun because of the wonderful voice he has and Kyuhyun is also the maknae, who is the youngest in the group, so I feel that there’s the advantage of being the youngest.

Q: While you were performing “Good Friends”, all of you played a different character. Why were you in these characters and is there any special significance?

Leeteuk: Shindong was dressed up as Britney Spears.

Shindong: I feel like I have lots of resemblance for Britney Spears! … I would like to apologise for saying that *chuckles*

Leeteuk: Sungmin was Marilyn Monroe.

Sungmin: That was a recommendation actually from leader Leeteuk and the response was huge so I’m happy with that.

Donghae: I was dressed up as Charlie Chaplin and the recommendation came from all the members.

Kyuhyun:  I was dressed up as Steve Jobs, someone I really respect and I really love that brand as well, there was a scene that I was eating an apple, because I wanted to promote the brand indirectly, and the response is huge as well. When I was dressed up as Steve Jobs and the fans saw it, the fans nicknamed me as Steve Jobs Kyu.

Q: Most of you showcased a new talent or a new side during your solo stages, like Eunhyuk who composed while Leeteuk and Kyuhyun showed off your musical flair. So amongst yourselves, whose solo stage do you like most, or whose solo stage has the most powerful impact?

Shindong: Donghae and Eunhyuk performed Oppa Oppa and I think that it was the one that has the biggest response so far. The members who were performing were very happy as well because oppa in Korean means big brother, which a girl calls their older brother, and the Korean guys are very happy when they hear this word, so they were feeling really pleasant as they were performing.

Q: What was your most memorable moment from last night?

Leeteuk: Yesterday, when we were performing this song called ‘Our Love’, during then we saw fans lighting up white lightsticks for the members and we were really touched by the fan support.

Q: Super Show 4 went to Taiwan previously and the fans did something that got the guys crying. So how do you guys feel at the moment and are you guys expecting something similar from Singapore fans as well?

Leeteuk: Regardless of anywhere or any country that we are performing in, we are always touched by and we feel so loved by all the fan support and it doesn’t change wherever we go. So this time in Singapore, this is the last day of the concert so we may shed some tears but we are not very sure about that. We are just happy to be here with the fans.

Q: Because you had your fifth album last year, which of your hit songs are your favourite now since your debut?

Eunhyuk: My favourite is Superman. I know many people like Sorry Sorry which is one of our biggest hit song, but my personal favourite is Superman because I feels that it kind of demonstrates how the members feel in general, because the lyrics goes like “bam, we are the best and we’ll always strive to be the best” which is very positive and I like that.

Q: Do you have anything to say to the ELFs in Singapore, especially Leeteuk who is going into the army soon?

Leeteuk: Despite the fact that we do not come to Singapore very often as we wish to, but we are always so thankful and grateful for the fan support, and even though I am going to enroll into the army, I do not feel that this is the end because the rest of the Super Junior members will continue and I will join them once I come out of army, so we would definitely come back for another awesome show and please look out for that.

And I would like to thank all the media here because you guys are always awesome in writing awesome articles for us and just promoting all their events. Especially like last time during MAMA, I saw this huge article on the newspaper and on the news and everywhere we went, so I would like to thank all the people here once again for that.

Q: You are doing a world tour this time instead of an Asian tour, so what do you think is the biggest difference and what do you guys most look forward to?

Leeteuk: I feel that The biggest difference was in fact that the scale of the region we visit, so this time not just in Asia, but we are visiting South America, the USA and Europe among other regions to see our fans, so that’s definitely the biggest difference.

Q: How do you plan to make 2012 a special and memorable year for Super Junior?

Leeteuk: We are going to make this a memorable year by successfully completing our world tour and we have a long series of schedules lined up for us, and lots of events for the fans as well, so look out for us and give us a lot of support!

Q:  What’s your personal group wish for the year?

Super Junior: As a group, we always wished that we can be the star that always give hope and give happy virus to their fans and to everyone who listens to our songs. So that’s always what we wish for and we will definitely strive harder to achieve that.

Super Junior performed a total of 36 songs for the 3 and half an hour concert, belting out hits such as “Superman”, “Bonamana”, “Sorry Sorry” and “Mr Simple”. The boys also had solo stages and special stages featuring guests as well, much to the delight of fans who were all excited to see their own idols showcase their talents.

The performances was complemented by amazing pyrotechnic effects, colourful laser effects, fireworks, and water features, which is never seen before in any other concerts. The boys also took the chance to get close to their fans, which was allowed by the dynamic arrangement of the stages and the elevated cranes.

Leeteuk showcased his talent of greeting fans in various languages, and Siwon complained that his problem was falling in love with all of their fans. Leeteuk also exclaimed “All the guys here, you guys are endless love to us!” before belting out their next song, “You’re My Endless Love”.

Amber and Sulli from f(x) specially flew along for Super Show 4 as well to perform “Oops!” on stage with Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, Donghae and Shindong, where fellow member Heechul, who’s currently in the army, made a cameo appearance onscreen. For Super Junior’s performance of “Walkin’”, some members cycled on bicycles and walked across the air while being suspended.

For the solo performances, first up was Henry who belted out a Chinese song, “The Lazy Song” and “Lighters”, where the talented him started with the guitar, followed by the keyboards and the violin. Eunhyuk emerged out from a giant diamond for his solo, where he exclaimed, “Tonight I’m going to be your star! I know I’m a star, but today I’ll be a different star!” and asked the fans to shout names such as Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp along with his self-composed song, “Self Luminous Bejeweled Handsome Guy Lee Hyukjae”, to which the fans kept shouting “Lee Hyuk Jae!” instead.

Sungmin appeared in suspenders, and danced to Ne-yo’s hit song, “One in a Million”. Kyuhyun surprised the audience with his R&B rendition of “Isn’t She Lovely”, and a short segment with the harmonica. Ryeowook teased the fans as he performed “Moves Like Jagger” and even did a body wave and lifted his shirt up to the fans, making them scream with much delight. Leeteuk showcased his talent by starting his solo with a saxophone performance, and moving onto playing Chopin’s Etude Op. 10 No. 5 on the piano and then followed by the ballad, “She”, where he went down to the audience and serenaded a lucky female fan at the end.

Shindong gave an entertaining parody of “Trouble Maker”, to after which he surprised the fans with a silhouette stripping show to perform “Bubble Pop”. Zhoumi performed a soulful rendition of “不留纪念”, while Siwon and Pastor Johnny from 3^rd Wave performed “Your Grace Is Enough”, while strumming the guitar. Yesung performed Kim Jong Kook’s ballad hit, “A Man”.

Donghae first came out to perform his solo song of “这是爱” (This Is Love) for his new drama Skip-Beat, then Eunhyuk appeared to join him on stage right after that. Fans happily shouted and called Donghae and Eunhyuk as their oppas as they performed “Oppa Oppa”, with them in neon-coloured suits and matching pokka-dotted bowties for the song.

During their “Good Friends” performance, the members of Super Junior were dressed as different iconic characters, in which Leeteuk dressed as Hulk Hogan, Sungmin as Marilyn Monroe, Kyuhyun as Steve Jobs, Eunhyuk as a white bird, Shindong as Britney Spears, Yesung as Chucky, Donghae as Charlie Chaplin, Ryeowook as Gollum and Siwon as Superman. The members playfully ran across different parts of the extended stage throughout the performance, as they cheekily fooled around with one another and Kyuhyun walked around the stage with a basket of apples, randomly taking a bite off an apple or tossing them out to screaming fans, stopping here and then to use his fingers to separate out his centre parting, bringing much laughter to the audience.

Super Junior also did a parody of The Sound of Music, naming themselves “The Sound of Super Junior”. The boys dressed up as kids in suspenders, with the exception of mother Shindong and father Siwon, in which he came out to stage and greeted Siwon by jumping onto him and giving him a tight bear hug. They performed “Do Re Mi”, followed by “White Christmas” as they walked around the extended stage each with a snow spray can in their hands to spray at their fans.

The white fanlights event during their performance of Storm were noticed by Super Junior, in which they not only mentioned in the press conference earlier on but also during their fantalk. Leeteuk was so touched by it and he commented, “I saw the white lights yesterday, and they look like stars. I didn’t know there are so many stars in Singapore.”

Super Junior also introduced their “Find Super Junior’s Girlfriend” segment on stage. On the 18^th, they helped Kyuhyun to find his ‘girlfriend’ while on the 19^th, it was Leeteuk’s turn to get a ‘girlfriend’. A lucky fan from the moshpit was picked and brought up to stage where Leeteuk held her hand. Mischievous Yesung gathered confetti from the floor and tossed it over the new ‘couple’ , where they did a couple dance, followed by the ‘couple’ walking to the centre of the stage where Leeteuk gave her a hug and then performed You & I while holding her hand.

During the performance of “Our Love”, there is another fan event in which the fans held out red heart-shaped signs that read “슈퍼주니어 + ELF 영원히” (Super Junior + ELF forever). The members seemed quite emotional during the song and Leeteuk was also seen shedding tears from being touched by his fans.

Super Junior then continued their encore starting with the very song that made them phenomenal today – “Sorry Sorry”, followed by Miracle. Then came the next segment of their fantalk, where Sungmin revealed that he does not want to go back to Korea after the concert. Donghae also cheekily said that he had locked all the doors so everybody have to stay overnight with them, garnering screams from excited fans. For the final song, “Destiny”, the boys all walked around the extended stage to thank their fans, with Leeteuk going to every single area to bow down to thank the fans and to shake their hands.

Before the concert ended, the boys played with the water fountain, where up to three members each time were chosen to sit or lie on the water fountain and let themselves get sprayed by the water jet.

The weekend was definitely an unforgettable one for the ELFs who spent it together with Super Junior. Although this is Leeteuk’s last concert before entering the army, we hope to see him as well as other members come back to Singapore in the near future for the next few Super Show concerts.

Visiting Thailand on February 16 for their first concert in Thailand, 2PM successfully finished their high-touch event with a hearty welcome from their fans that numbered around 3,000 and local reporters. People gathered around Siam Center, where the event took place, and buildings and a subway station near the center to see 2PM.

At a press interview, which took place at Impact Arena on the same day, the Red Cross Society in Thailand said thank you to 2PM as they donate part of their concert profit to needy people through the Red Cross Society.

On February 18 in the evening, 2PM concert was held at Impact Arena, the biggest indoor concert hall in Thailand. Even before the concert was started, the hall was swarmed by fans and several reporters. 2PM’s concert tickets were already sold out, but many people inquired about remaining tickets.

During the concert that lasted over two hours, Impact Arena was full of excitement because of the shout from nearly 9,000 fans. Touched by their fans, 2PM tried more than ever to give greater performances to thank their fans.

Nickhun especially touched Thai fans by performing a song of Bird, a Thai singer, for them. Some Thai fans created a video specially made for 2PM to thank them for their donation, which was made when Thailand was damaged by flood, and moved them to tears.

JYP Entertainment, 2PM’s agency, says, “Including 2PM’s Thai member Nickhun, 2PM members have special affection for Thailand. They have been looking forward to have a concert in Thailand. Thank you for all 2PM fans who have given them love and support.”

2PM are holding an Asian tour until March and they are soon having a concert in China. 2PM have already sold over 52,000 tickets of their Hands Up Aisa Tour Concert.
