Megan Lee, Louriza Tronco and Dale Whibley, stars from Nickelodeon’s comedic, music-infused series Make It Pop was in town last weekend for the Nickelodeon Slime Cup. KAvenyou also had the chance to do an exclusive interview with them in regards to their visit to Singapore and their goals for this year!
Check out the interview below:
- How do you feel about coming to Singapore for Nickelodeon Slime Cup?
Dale: I was so excited, my first trip, so it’s cool to visit beautiful and clean city! It’s an honour to be in Slime Cup and it’s very exciting!
Megan: It’s my 3rd trip here, I am super excited, especially with the rest of Make It Pop members. We never been in Slime Cup before, so it’s exciting and new to us, and we are excited to meet the fans!
Louriza: It feels so surreal, I’ve never been to Asia countries since 9 years ago, I thought Singapore is like a small town or something!
- Any food / places you would like to try in Singapore?
D: Megan wants to try durian, I’ve heard it and I’m interested to see what it’s like.
M: I tried the durian cakes before, very intriguing, it was interesting but I’m always down to try different things! Water chestnut is nice! I’m obsessed with that now!
L: I tried real coconut water yesterday night, I always have that in Canada but this is nicer as compared!
- Why should viewers catch Make It Pop?
D: Very obvious question! Greatest show ever because of the amazing music, cool dance and fashion!
M: One of my proudest and favourite projects ever worked on before, there’s singing, dancing and acting, its joyful show and colourful. The show also provides a lot of positive messages, its fun and the songs are all original!
L: I think its super cool because it’s multi-cultural, we have 3 Asian girl leads on the show. It’s special to us because of our appearance in the show are from different cultures and countries!
- Can you tell us some interesting/memorable things that happened during the filming?
M: I’m very clumsy, I fall and trip and make a mess all the time, during the filming, I can choke on feathers and as close to losing my teeth! So there’s this time when one of the cast mate scared me, so I did a high kick and I lose my balance, I was on the ground face flat! I uploaded this on my Instagram so you guys can check it out! It’s the funniest and playful moment ever!
- Any songs / artistes you really like recently?
D: I’m a huge Drake fan, Flume is a great artiste too!
M: I am obsessed with artiste called Jon Bellion, he’s a singer, song writer and producer. He had amazing voice and he create his own track. I recommend to everyone because he’s so talented!
D: You know what! Forget about all these artistes, Megan Lee is my favourite artiste and she just released a new single called “Stronger”, that is my favourite song right now (M: that’s so sweet!)
- 2016 is coming to an end. Any goals you wish you can achieve by the end of the year?
D: I’m living with one of the cast mate from Make It Pop now, but I’m planning to move in with my best friend this September, He’ one of the cast mate from the show “The Other Kingdom”!
L & D: Oh no, that calls for trouble! XD
M: I’ve been writing a lot for the past few months, for myself and other people, I’m working on an album right now, not sure how long it’s going to take, but hopefully!
L: To clean my room, for once! And I hike almost second weekend, I love hiking so I wish to hike a place in Vancouver, it’s a beautiful place, when you reach the top, its clear water and mountains down!
