Kim Hyun Joong recently rocked Japan on his first day of debut.

“Kiss Kiss” Kim’s debut single in Japan ranked the second on the Oricon Daily Chart for single albums for January 25, the day they were released.

The recording has sold 71,812 copies, SKE48’s new single selling 275,467.

The sales record of Kim’s debut single on the first day seems remarkable compared to other musicians’. Considering album sales in Japanese market these days, Kim’s debut album is expected to top a hundred thousand in sales.

In 2011, Kim signed a contract with Universal Music in Japan, and bode for his album being a megahit by topping the Ring Tone Chart.

Kim will be appearing in Music Station, Ashahi TV’s music program in Japan, on January 27 and starts promoting in Japan.

Following Kim Hyun Joong, a bunch of K-Pop solo singers such as Lee Sueng Gi and IU are getting ready to dive into the Japanese Market. Now let’s wait and see what they will achieve.
