It was about 8 years ago that Super Junior members decided to start enlisting in the army. Kangin being the first member, followed by Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Sungmin, Donghae, Eunhyuk, Siwon, and the last 3 members, Ryeowook, Kibum and Kyuhyun who will be finishing their enlistment by the end of the year.
Almost all of the members are back in Singapore again for Super Show 7 that was held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium last weekend!
The 7 members, Leeteuk, Donghae, Siwon, Eunhyuk, Yesung, Shindong and Heechul appeared on stage donned in black sequined suits as they kicked off the concert with “Black Suit”, followed by “Scene Stealer” and “Mamacita”.
The boys talked about how much they missed Singapore and how happy they are to be back for another Super Show!
Eunhyuk who emphasized a lot on our local delicacy such as chilli and pepper crabs, also communicated with fans in Singlish,
“Long time no see LA~”
“Do you guys miss me LA~”.
Solo segments were not presented during Super Show 7 but the members did their very best to show what they had practiced so far after coming out from the army.
Classic songs such as “Sorry Sorry”, “Mr Simple”, “It’s You” and “Bonamana” were also included in SS7!
Super Junior, who are known for being ‘funny’ and ‘humorous’ idols put on a Power Ranger segment with each members dressed in different coloured Ranger outfits!
Represented by the 7 members, Leeteuk appeared towards the end of the concert and read a long, heartfelt letter to ELFs who were with them throughout the years, bringing tears to the fans eyes.
“6th November 2005, I still can’t forget, the day we met. Thanks to you, we were able to hold on for this for a long time.
25th June 2006, the time when we won first place, the moment we received countless awards, with your cheer, love and support. We made a new history together! But there were also darkness, the hard times that brought me and you both to the point of giving up. But then when we went through it with our hands held tightly than ever and day by day, we overcame it together. It’s been 14 years, the childish young idols have become the big seniors in the KPOP scene. The same girls who have listen to Super Junior and have always cheered for Super Junior become college students, someone’s lady, and a child’s mother.
Time passing by may be sad, but we were happy to share memories between us and spend the same time under the same sky.” – Super Junior Leeteuk, Super Show 7.
The boys ended the concert with “Miracle”, going around giving fan service (waving, selca, shaking hands) and said goodbye, thanking the fans for coming and also they hope that they can be here in Singapore again!
We also look forward to another amazing Super Show, this time round with more members in the future!
