Singapore – It was definitely a great pleasure for Pets Tseng to have the tickets to her first mini concert in Singapore completely sold out. The concert held at Shanghai Dolly on 28 February 2015 had completely sold out within 8 hours of ticket sales, and additional tickets were also completely sold.
Pets opened the mini concert with 一個人想著一個人, the ending theme song for her drama K.O. One Returns. More than just a theme song for the drama which saw her popularity skyrocketing, this was also a song which reminded people that she actually started off as a singer.
After two songs from her album, 不過失去了一點點 and 多年後, she started off a set of specially prepared songs. Comprising 天黑黑 by Stefaine Sun, 還是會by Weibird Wei and 優先權 by Tanya Chua, this set was specially prepared for the fans in Singapore. Apart from the fact that it was her first time singing 天黑黑 since the release of her album, the reason she felt especially nervous singing it in Singapore was also because she is a really big fan of Stefanie Sun.
Next up was 不渴 and 黑框眼鏡, where she had for the first time during a concert, spontaneously changed the lyrics of her song. Her last song for the night was 這裡還有我, a song which was dedicated to her fans. Through this song, Pets wanted her fans to know that no matter which part of the world she was in, she was still around accompanying them through her songs and singing.
What made the mini concert very enjoyable was not only her singing, but also the fun and bubbly feeling she gave off. Be it the when she was very contented about the oyster omelette in Singapore having very huge oysters, or when she became a fan girl and said she would readily live in Singapore if Stefanie Sun invited her to, or when she got excited over the fact that it was her first time spontaneously changing lyrics at a concert, Pets gave off a very real vibe. Her interactions with fans were more like that of friends rather than a singer and her fans.
For the fans present, the mini concert was a tad too short and it was slightly regretful that there were a couple of favourite hits which she hadn’t managed to sing. This left fans already looking forward to her next visit to Singapore, which hopefully wouldn’t be too long later!
