Friday night was Boys Republic’s night in Paris at Le Divan du Monde venue for their very first “The Royal Tour in Europe”.
The French heat alert didn’t stop OneJunn, SeongJun, MinSu, SuWung and SunWoo from rocking the stage for their fans.
Fans who didn’t get scared by the heat wave and started queuing up in front of the venue from the morning.
During the concert, the five artists showed their team spirit and love for the stage by performing their most famous singles such as “The Real One”, “You’re Special To Me” but also their very last song released last month, “Hello”.
One of the few kpop groups that flies to Europe right after a new single release : the European audience did highly appreciate!
This concert included a special appearance from multi-talented pianist Choi Soo Min who met his French fans for the second time. A real bonus for the audience. Indeed, Choi SooMin is not only talented but also very funny and communicative.
More than a time to show individual skills, it’s also the best time to show your true color and music taste: the solo stage. And this is where Boys Republic makes the difference! How many people can just show up and perfectly interpret Angels by Robbie Williams? Well, we know one guy called SunWoo who left fans, media and venue staff in awe of his voice. Next one is Suwoong for an other pop song by Michael Bublé before OneJunn freestyle performance on piano with his own version of BigBang “Haru Haru”. Later, the two remaining members showed their dance skills on Uptown Funk as a duo.
Five lucky fans got to join the members on stage for a hilarious dance and game session.
No time to get shy nor to look blanky at their idol, it’s time to be competitive and to make their team win at “guess the word” game. Totally in sync, the second team with OneJunn, Sunwoo and Seongjun manages to guess Girls Generation “Genie” dance and wins. Despite the language and culture barrier, the boys showed us they can have fun with new friends, forgetting the gap that sometimes can happen between fans and celebrities. Definitely a moment everyone will remember. No wonder it was hard for Boys Republic to say goodbye.
At KAvenyou, we believe Boys Republic is one of those underrated groups who are beyond talented when it comes to live stage. And for a simple reason : they are happy while performing in front of their fans. For many media in Paris, it was an unexpected experience that makes it to the top of this year’s list. You still have time to get your tickets for the upcoming concerts in Köln, Kraków, Budapest and Wien.
