29 September 2012, Hong Kong – Korean “Prince of Ballad” 2AM has successfully finished “[M Live by CJ] 2AM CONCERT in HONG KONG ‘The Way of Love’”, the first stop of their first ever Asia concert tour, on September 29 (Saturday), 2012 at Star Hall, Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre (KITEC). 2AM shared the most romantic and unforgettable mid- autumn experience with Hong Kong audience with their heart-melting love songs and exclusive solo stages tailor-made for Hong Kong audience, proving that they are the one and only “Prince of Ballad”!
2AM kicked off the much-anticipated show with their 3 greatest hits “I Wonder If You Hurt Like Me”, “Erase Memory” and “You Were Mine” from the latest album “F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Way of Love”. Their angelic voices immediately dragged the audience into the romantic vibe. The 4 princes of 2AM then greeted the crowd in Cantonese and the audience responded ardently to every word they said! 2AM continued to demonstrate their affecting vocal with “A Friend’s Confession”, “Like Crazy”, “Sorry I Can’t Smile” and “Love You Love You”. All the audiences were deeply touched by their sentimental voices and waved their glowing sticks gently along with the rhythm.
Each member of 2AM has conducted their solo activities earlier and were all very well received. They have re-arranged their most popular solo songs into acoustic version, including “You Walking Toward Me” by Jinwoon, “I Was Able to Eat Well” by Changmin, “Nagging” by Seulong and “The Day of Confession” by Jo Kwon. More than that, they have also prepared an acoustic version of a medley of the iconic KPOP songs, including “Nobody”, “Good Girl, Bad Girl”, “Gee”, Fantastic Baby”, Sorry Sorry” and “Again & Again”. All the audiences were so fascinated by the songs and once the familiar melody of the songs entered, the entire hall of fans chanted the verse along loudly with them!
Besides, 2AM has opened a Weibo account to gather suggestions from fans on which Cantonese songs they want 2AM to sing in the concert. 2AM eventually chose to present one of the famous songs of Eason Chan, namely “Same Time Next Year” amongst all the feedback they received. They revealed that they liked the song when they first listen to it and decided that they have to sing it to Hong Kong audience! They have spent a lot of time practicing the song and the audience was deeply touched and impressed by the efforts that 2AM put in.
The first half of the concert ended with a video of the members’ daily life which revealed the cute and adorable side of each member!
Although 2AM is well known as the “Prince of Ballad”, they decided to show their plethora of talents in this Hong Kong concert by kicking off the second half of the concert with some powerful songs! Changmin began with “Oh Oh” by Guy Sebastian, which is one of his favourite songs. The powerful beat of the song and the dynamic performance by Changmin immediately heated up the crowd! Seulong then continued to showcase his tender voice with Hurricane by Eric Benet. Jinwoon was the next to come up on stage in his rocker image and performed “La La La”. Jo Kwon inflamed the crowd with his splendid performances of “Animal”. His dazzling performance with his 19.5cm high heels stunned every audience and received ear shattering roars from the enthusiastic crowd!
A short video was showed which illustrated “the ways of love” of different members in 2AM. The video was narrated by Wooyoung from 2PM, who is the best buddy of 2AM. The funny video and the humorous narration brought unstoppable laughter to the audience!
The members then hit the stage again with their chill song “What Should I Do”. They then turned the venue into a huge party pool with a series of upbeat songs again. The atmosphere was much enlivened when they began with “Party Rock Anthem”, one of the most popular party songs in the world! They then follow with Jo Kwon’s hottest solo song “I’m Da One” and also the creative re-arranged rock version of “With or Without You” and “I Was Wrong, which were originally the most touching love songs of them.
The four charming princes of 2AM planned to end the concert with their signature song “You Wouldn’t Answer My Call”. However the passionate fans were not willing to leave and 2AM came out again to encore “Never Let You Go” and “This Song”. In spite of this, the fans were still cheering and shouting for 2AM after they are done! Touched by the love and passion of the audiences, the members returned to the stage for their last encore stage and dedicated “Isn’t She Lovely” to all the audiences!
During the 2-hour concert, all the fans were indulged in the sweet and romantic Mid Autumn experiences brought by 2AM. Also, they were happy and surprised to see all the dance performances by 2AM which they rarely do before! All the enthusiastic fans are already looking forward to 2AM’s next performance in Hong Kong. The members also revealed that they were thrilled by the passionate love and support for all Hong Kong fans and wished they could come to Hong Kong again in the future.
